It has ruined many opportunities that I have had. It’s not like I have to be on that show “Intervention” or anything but it has affected my life in a big way. Do I have to loose all of my friends that drink every weekend or what?

No, honestly i know alot of people around here with this problem. Just try and cut down on how much you drink everytime that you go out..and limit yourself.! Also, if your friends wont like you because you dont drink then they arent your real friends anyway.

You best start loving yourself if you want anything different out of life. The time you are wasting you cant get back you know!!! You need to change everything about your current life/situation. If you cant do in house treatment try out patient, AAA meetings, some type of counseling/you need support healthy people to talk to.
Either you want something different for yourself & your willing to work for it or you don’t. Its in your hands.

Changing friends may be a good idea if you cannot control yourself. Best way to quit is just quit. I am not a fan of AA but I guess you could start attending meetings and make new friends there.
